Inverter Batteries
Inverter systems commonly use tubular batteries for backup power, with two main types being tall tubular and flat tubular batteries. Tall tubular batteries are larger in height and offer longer backup time, higher capacity, and better performance in areas with prolonged power cuts, making them ideal for heavy usage and longer life (up to 6–8 years). Flat tubular batteries, on the other hand, are shorter and more compact, suited for places with space constraints and frequent but shorter power outages, typically offering a life span of 3–5 years. Both types require maintenance like checking electrolyte levels unless sealed, and the inverter must support the appropriate charging profile and voltage for optimal performance.
